2017 Tutition Fees will be announced.

Below are the required Turkish proficiency documents and levels for the candidates who are accepted to associate and bachelor degree programmes to start their education:

 

  1. Achievement of the Turkish Proficiency Exam given by Istanbul University Department of Foreign Languages at the beginning of the academic year
  2. Istanbul University Language Center Turkish Proficiency Document
  3. Turkish Proficiency Document from the Turkish Language Teaching Research and Application Centers of the Universities.
  4. Turkish Proficiency Documents given by Yunus Emre Institutions.

 

The Turkish Language Proficiency levels of the applicants:

  1. (C1 and C2) Level: Applicant’s Turkish level is adequate. S/he can be placed into the program which s/he has obtained the right to attend.
  2. (B1 and B2) Level: Applicant’s Turkish level is inadequate but can be improved. S/he can be placed into the program which s/he has obtained the right to attend, on the condition that s/he attends a Turkish language course. The student must certify that s/he has improved his or her Turkish level to (A) level before the beginning of the 3rd academic year. At the end of this period, those who still have (B) level in Turkish cannot continue receiving education unless they improve their level of Turkish to (A).
  3. (A1 and A2) Level: Applicant’s Turkish level is not adequate and s/he must take a Turkish course. Those who are in this state must certify that s/he has increased his or her Turkish proficiency level to (A) or (B) level before the beginning of the 3rdacademic year at the latest. The first subsection of this paragraph is applicable for those who have improved their level to (A), whereas the second subsection of this paragraph is applicable for those who have improved their level to (B).

*Course registrations are made via Student Automation System (AKSİS).

*Your referance number that is requied to pay your tuition can be seen on the system (AKSİS). The tuition is paid to Halkbank- Beyazıt Branch with your reference number.

*Students who will be logging on to AKSİS for the first time are required to create a one time account by clicking on the "Online Registration" button/link (http://aksis.istanbul.edu.tr/OnlineKayit/Account) at http://aksis.istanbul.edu.tr

*AKSİS will be active as of 21 August 2017.

Special Talent Exam for the Istanbul University State Conservatory

Candidate students who want to study in Istanbul University State Conservatory programs are required to apply to the Student Affairs Office in Istanbul University State Conservatory for Special Talent Exam Application

  • The original high school diploma or interim certificate of graduation with a notarized Turkish translation from a Notary Public or Turkish Embassy abroad

  • The printout of the İÜYÖS exam result

    Preferences for the programs in Faculty of Sport Sciences and Istanbul University State Conservatory which admit students by Special Talent Exam should also be submitted between 19 June and 03 July 2017.

    1) İÜYÖS score, order of preference and number of students accepted into a single program from the same country are the criteria taken into consideration in the selection process. The number of students who will be given the right to enrol into a certain program cannot exceed 20 % the total quota of that certain program.

    If there is a tie in the selection process among the candidate students the youngest candidate(s) will be given priority.

    (2) Special talent exam score, order of preference and number of students accepted into a single special talent program from the same country are the criteria taken into consideration during the selection process and placement of the candidate students applied to the special talent exams already holding the minimum standard score required to become eligible to apply to the programs admitted by special talent exam. The number of students who will be given the right to enrol into a certain program cannot exceed 20 % the total quota of that certain program.

    If there is a tie in the selection process among the candidate students the youngest candidate(s) will be given priority.

    ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE PLACEMENT RESULTS

    Candidate students can learn the placement results at http://yos.istanbul.edu.tr by login with their applicant numbers and passwords on 10 July 2017.
    “Acceptance Letters” will be posted to the addresses in the     İÜYÖS application form of those students who are finally accepted to enrol to Istanbul University. It is also possible for those accepted students to get a digital copy of their acceptance letters via http://yos.istanbul.edu.tr by login with their applicant numbers and passwords
